ò Chorus. Two households, both alike in dignity,
In fair Verona, where we lay our scene,
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
From forth the fatal loins of these two foes 5
A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life;
Whole misadventured piteous overthrows
...Down with the Capulets! down with the Montagues!
[Enter CAPULET in his gown, and LADY CAPULET]
ò Capulet. What noise is this? Give me my long sword, ho!
ò Lady Capulet. A crutch, a crutch! why call you for a sword?
